Judo in School project implemented in Zrenjanin as well

The Judo in schools project has shown excellent results in the countries where it has been implemented, because it is a sport that is extremely effective in preventing peer violence, promoting healthy lifestyle habits, teamwork, the development of positive values, tolerance and self-control, but it has also made a significant contribution when it comes to taking care of the physical and mental health of students.

The Petar Petrović Njegoš primary school was the site of the large-scale Judo in School project, which included the first examination for the white and yellow belt (first degree).

One of the nine educational institutions in Serbia where the Judo in School project was put into practice was the Petar Petrović Njegoš elementary school. During the first year of the project, 45 students from this school started training judo. The judo classes at the school were free, as was the equipment, which was the main driving force for the young practitioners in this project.

Judo is a risk-free activity, and one of its distinctive qualities is equality because both girls and boys compete in the same manner.
