The Judo in Schools project was successfully implemented in Brus. More than 40 young school students have attended judo classes at Jovan Jovanović Zmaj Elementary in Brus during the year.
The project is being implemented in cooperation with the International Judo Federation, National Judo Federation of Serbia, local self-government and Jovan Jovanović Zmaj Elementary.
According to the plan, the program was adapted so that all children can learn the judo technique, to develop coordination of movement, to learn about the importance of discipline and develop their defensive instincts.

Judo school was free for all participants, and the equipment was also provided free of charge.
The implementation of this very important project is possible thanks to the Government of Serbia, competent ministries, IJF and president of National Judo Federation of Serbia Ivan Todorov. Through this activity, by introducing judo to schools, a lot was done not only to help with children’s development, but also to prevent violence in schools.
